I am probably going to regret this.........

Donavan got some Christmas money from his Great Grandma Harrell so we set out to get him his last Christmas gift. We had a real hard time finding something because it was New Years Eve and I didn't know that all the shops would close down so early!! Well Target had a Curious George toy that Donavan really liked so we headed there. Before we had started Christmas shopping, I think it was back in Oct, we found the drum set that we really wanted to get him. You see my son is a LOT like his daddy, because everything is a drum and everything long and skinny is a drum stick. (As i write he is holding a long skinny bubble blower and banging on a can!) He has to be able to see the drums at church and we have to go and get him down from the platform at least 5 times before service even starts! So I was hoping that getting him a set would help that.
Well we couldn't find any sets when we started our shopping! Everyone was sold out. Springfield Target was our last stop on NYE and low and behold they had one there and on sale!! So we grabbed it. Donavan had stayed with my parents for a few nights ( about 37 hrs in all, trust me I counted!! haha) And when Jared and my mom brought him home, we had it set up in the living room waiting on him. When he finally saw it all he could say was OOOOHHH OOOOHHH over and over. Then he started playing and his face just lit up! So adorable!! He started playing really hard and looked at us and said "Wasn't that good!!" ha so funny
We are doing ok with the drums, he plays them first thing in the morning and sometimes he sneaks out when he is supposed to be going to bed to play a little bit more.
Well enough for now, I need to go get the phone out of Donavans hands before he calls someone!
