I get MANY FWDS everyday and sometimes I get one that is really good and I'll share it. Well this is one of those that is just too good to NOT share! Hope you all enjoy it!!
Clutching their Dillard's shopping bags, Ellen and Kay woefully gazed down at a dead cat in the mall parking lot. Obviously a recent hit---no flies, no smell. What business could that poor kitty have had here?' murmured Ellen. 'Come on, Ellen, let's just go...' But Ellen had already grabbed her shopping bag and was explaining, 'I'll just put my things in your bag, and then I'll take the tissue.' She dumped her purchases into Kay's bag and then used the tissue paper to cradle and lower the former feline into her own Dillard's bag and cover it. They continued the short trek to the car in silence, stashing their goods in the trunk. But it occurred to both of them that if they left Ellen's burial bag in the trunk, warmed by the TEXAS sunshine while they ate, Kay's Lumina would soon lose that new-car smell. They decided to leave the bag on top of the trunk, and they headed over to Luby's Cafeteria. After they cleared the serving line and sat down at a window table, they had a view of Kay's Chevy with the Dillard's bag still on the trunk. BUT not for long! As they ate, they noticed a black-haired woman in a red gingham shirt stroll by their car, look quickly this way and that, and then hook the Dillard's bag without breaking stride. She quickly walked out of their line of vision. Kay and Ellen shot each other a wide-eyed look of amazement. It all happened so fast that neither of them could think how to respond. 'Can you imagine?' finally sputtered Ellen. 'The nerve of that woman!' Kay sympathized with Ellen, but inwardly a laugh was building as she thought about the grand surprise awaiting the red-gingham thief. Just when she thought she'd have to giggle into her napkin, she noticed Ellen's eyes freeze in the direction of the serving line. Following her gaze, Kay recognized with a shock the black-haired woman with THE Dillard's bag, hanging from her arm, brazenly pushing her tray toward the cashier. Helplessly they watched the scene unfold: After clearing the register, the woman settled at a table across from theirs, put the bag on an empty chair and began to eat. After a few bites of baked whitefish and green beans, she casually lifted the bag into her lap to survey her treasure. Looking from side to side, but not far enough to notice her rapt audience three tables over, she pulled out the tissue paper and peered into the bag. Her eyes widened, and she began to make a sort of gasping noise. The noise grew. The bag slid from her lap as she sank to the floor, wheezing and clutching her upper chest. The beverage cart attendant quickly recognized a customer in trouble and sent the busboy to call 911, while she administered the Heimlich maneuver. A crowd quickly gathered that did not include Ellen and Kay, who remained riveted to their chairs for seven whole minutes until the ambulance arrived. In a matter of minutes the curly-haired woman emerged from the crowd, still gasping, strapped securely on a gurney. Two well-trained EMS volunteers steered her to the waiting ambulance, while a third scooped up her belongings. The last they saw of the distressed cat-burglar, she disappeared behind the ambulance doors, ........................ the Dillard's bag perched on her stomach!!
Sometimes, God does take care of those who do bad things! AND once in awhile..He allows us to witness it!

Starting the Year out with a BANG!!

Hey Everyone
Its been a while since I've updated pretty much anything.
We are starting off this year with a bang! Literally! We bought Donavan a drum set, and he is doing so awesome on them. He plays the drums all the time and so my house is now NOISY! all the time. Ha!! I was hoping this would help keep him off the drums as church, well he doesn't cry now when we take him off the drums at church but we still can't keep him away. Last night someone put him down and he took off and I was chasing him but got stopped to talk to someone and I couldn't find him, well all the sudden you hear the DRUMS! He did some awesome licks and got a standing O, it was just so cute! Ha
Kelsey and I took over as Youth Leaders in our church on Jan 1st and we are taking off in a run! I don't mind, but I did tell our pastors wife that she will be on speed dial!!! And I wasn't kidding LOL!
We have a GREAT youth group and we are up for the challenge and we hope to help them in many areas. We have many goals that we are going to be setting that aren't hard just areas I think we all need to work on. One of the main ones is accepting who you are and learning to work with it, and being able to change for the better. So please add us and our Youth group to your prayer list!!
Donavan is doing GREAT! He is talking A LOT! and its just so cute. Right now everything is "I DO IT" I just love it. he is becoming a BIG BOY, we are going to have to stop calling him baby soon because he isn't acting like a baby anymore.
We are having awesome church!! Last night was off the charts and it all started in the prayer room just like it should. Then carried on into song service, and man it was SO STRONG, we had an alter call in the middle of song service and then the evangelist talked for about 10 min maybe and we had another awesome alter call, and then 3 got baptized and one got the HOLY GHOST!!! I'm telling you lives are being changed and people are waking up are realizing that NOW is the time!! And its just AWESOME. Our Youth were right in the middle of it all and we just love it. They are really hungry for a difference and to do something in their world and we are going to do our best to make sure it happens!!
Lots of love to you all
I will try to update as often as I can on whats going on, but if you don't hear from me know that we are busy working for God and making a difference in our world!

I am probably going to regret this.........
Donavan got some Christmas money from his Great Grandma Harrell so we set out to get him his last Christmas gift. We had a real hard time finding something because it was New Years Eve and I didn't know that all the shops would close down so early!! Well Target had a Curious George toy that Donavan really liked so we headed there. Before we had started Christmas shopping, I think it was back in Oct, we found the drum set that we really wanted to get him. You see my son is a LOT like his daddy, because everything is a drum and everything long and skinny is a drum stick. (As i write he is holding a long skinny bubble blower and banging on a can!) He has to be able to see the drums at church and we have to go and get him down from the platform at least 5 times before service even starts! So I was hoping that getting him a set would help that.
Well we couldn't find any sets when we started our shopping! Everyone was sold out. Springfield Target was our last stop on NYE and low and behold they had one there and on sale!! So we grabbed it. Donavan had stayed with my parents for a few nights ( about 37 hrs in all, trust me I counted!! haha) And when Jared and my mom brought him home, we had it set up in the living room waiting on him. When he finally saw it all he could say was OOOOHHH OOOOHHH over and over.
Then he started playing and his face just lit up! So adorable!! He started playing really hard and looked at us and said "Wasn't that good!!" ha so funny
We are doing ok with the drums, he plays them first thing in the morning and sometimes he sneaks out when he is supposed to be going to bed to play a little bit more.
Well enough for now, I need to go get the phone out of Donavans hands before he calls someone!
