Its Been Too Long

It has been way too long since I wrote in here.
We have settled into our Apt here in Loveland. Donavan has settled in really well. He had a hard time leaving his co-sleeper back to his bed ( he has slept in a big boy bed since he was 18 mo. so this was a big setback for us) and on to potty training. He was doing really good with potty training til one day.......... he started washing his clothes in the toilet. The prob being our bathroom doesn't have a lock on it so he goes in there and washes clothes! We have a potty trainer in his bathroom but for now we are needing to keep the door locked and closed til we REMEMBER! to go buy safety locks for the toilets. Needless to say we keep forgetting so PT is on the back burner til we remember! HA
On Mother's Day, Kelsey took over as Music Director here @ POL. At first we were quite overwhelmed, but we are doing better and better. Our small choir sang at Camp Meeting, and now we are being asked to go here and there. Its all exciting but a lot of work. We have practice every Mon night with just vocals ( Kelsey plays the keys during this practice) and then he has drummers practice on Thurs nights ( we have a keyboard and a set of drums. Please pray for us to get a bass player and a guitar player!!) We have an awesome team to work with. They learn the songs quickly and we have a lot of excellant talent to work with. We are very blessed and thankful for all on our team, and we are praying for more TENORS and SOPRANOS!!! God has been blessing our practices, they have been amazing with the power of God coming in while we are singing, just learning songs. Kelsey is doing such an awesome job. Again there is so much we don't know and we are still learning as we go but its been amazing. They respond so well to him and are eager to work with us, early for practices not wanting to leave when they are over, its just awesome.
So because Kelsey is the Music Director now we are on the Leadership team, which is another really new thing for us. Last Sunday we had our first meeting with them and it was just really awesome. I was expecting to go over the calendar and a lot of questions and answers, but it wasn't like that at all. Bro A shared his heart on what he wanted to see happening in our church. We started a prayer chain, on of the leadership families will be at the church every night of the week for two hrs praying. We had our first turn this past Sat and we were really going at it til a bat flew in! Needless to say it cut our prayer time short. We went downstairs to try to pray and it just wasn't the same. Well when we got to church on Sunday morning and we started practicing our first song for morning worship, God was already so strong in there. I kept feeling pulled to pray in a certain area and during alter call lives were being changed in those exact spots! It reminded me of when I was a teen and my cuz and a friend would have prayer meeting on Sat night and we would go to church on Sun night and see lives changed. There is so many things going on that we are praying about, but we can already see results from the leaders praying at the church.
Anyway thats about it for now..................
