Since I last wrote in here, we said good-bye to all our friends and loved ones and spent 8 hrs packing a truck ( had to leave some things behind) and headed down the road for Loveland CO. We left on a Fri after packing the truck and got here on a Sunday after noon. Donavan did ok on the trip. I had to MAKE kels stop on Sat night bc it was just too long of a day ( we drove for 14 hrs with many stops) and Donavan and I were so tired.
One thing I learned from this trip DO NOT MAKE LONG TRIPS WITH 2 yr OLDS! and KANSAS IS BORING!!! It is SO flat there is nothing for miles. It was so bad that they advertized for 50 miles that there was a starbucks in Colby Ks! lol And then within a few feet had 3 signs pointing to where it was located! I laughed and laughed but I did go buy some Starbucks! lol
We moved into our apt on Monday so we have been here 8 days. I've done A LOT to get it set up, but there is still somemore to do.
So far we have had some BIG changes and much excitement. First off, Kelsey wentto work for FedEx Kinko's on Monday morning and came right back home. They had messed up his drug test ( mainly they were upset that he took the test in AR instead of CO is what it boiled down to) so he was sent home and they said we will call when we get it figured out. So that afternoon, we moved into our apt, and after moving for a few hrs Kels went to see a guy about a job and went to work for Nu-Finish on Tues. He took a MAJOR pay cut and we now have no insurence, but he will be back up to what he was making and making more in less than six months so I can live with that. Next month we are going to start a cleaning biz to help make up our income loss. We are adjusting to Kels' new job slowly. He leaves earlier than we are used to and he never knows what time he is going to get home. Somedays he works 8 hrs and somedays he works 10 or 11 so we never know what to expect.
I have started a new routine bc of this. I get his bkfst, coffee, & lunch ready the night b4 and I lay out his clothes for the next day since he has to leave the house so early. I haven't had to make him a lunch in forever! lol So this is a bit of an adjustment. I don't mind at all. Its just really weird to see him come home dirty with paint stained hands! Its no big deal, just an adjustment.
I've got Donavan eating 3 meals a day and 2 snacks so he has cut WAY back on his drinking so much juice and he is starting to not need his protien at night so that makes me really happy.
Donavan and I go for a walk everyday, sometimes twice a day depending on when he gets up from his nap. We are walking more and more and he just loves it. I live 1/4 of a mile from an awesome shopping center, its really great! lol Yesterday Donavan figured out how to get out of the house! I just about died. I was going to go shopping with my aunt and cuz and it was so beautiful I had opened the sliding glass door and shut the screen door. Well there is something wrong with the screen door and I didn't know that, and I went back to do my hair and after a bit noticed that it seemed REALLY quiet even tho music was blaring. So I went to look for him and found the screen door open and I couldn't see Donavan anywhere! It took about five min to find him and he didn't even notice that something was wrong! I just about died, all I could think was here I move all the way to CO and someone took my baby!!! He was on the far side of a diff apt building playing in the grass with some sticks! The maintence guy found him and Donavan was just happy to have his sticks! I did ok, I was pretty shook up and I cried a little but everything was fine that GOD!
On Sunday I had a melt down from the move an all that was going on with all the changes. I knew I would have one eventually, but I was hoping it would be at home in my room but NO it had to be out and about! and over something that would norm not of bothered me. I have been weepy all week since, and then Kels said something really wrong on Mon and I was good and didn't blow up at him but boy I sure wanted too. He felt bad later bc he didn't mean for it to come out like it did, it was on his mind and he just blurted, you know, like he is good at! lol Just some things have been weighing on his mind and he needed to talk about it, which we are still talking about trying to make sure its all worked thru, again another adjustment.
We have really been enjoying our church! The pastor and p'wife and just wonderful! We really enjoy them and are enjoying getting to know them more and more. Kelsey and I will be working in the Music Dept here real soon. We are excited and anxious about it. I have been working on getting music together for this and its been fun HA but its work work work but we are ready and willing to do it. We are having some revivla services this weekend and we are excited about that too.
Well thats pretty much all that has been going on around here, just getting used to the changes and adjusting to our new life here :)

Nearing the End
As of today we leave for CO in THREE DAYS!! YIKES!!
The house is almost completely in boxes. I have about 15 more boxes to pack so thats not bad.
I haven't enjoyed saying good-bye to ppl. Sunday was our last service and that was pretty hard for me. I am going to miss so many ppl. I have always been one who is so excited about moving on then sad about what I am leaving behind, so this is really new for me to be so sad about the friends and loved ones we are leaving here in Bellefonte/Harrison.
Then on Monday we said good-bye to our Doc and nurse and that was REALLY hard for me. I wish I could take them with me. So Sunday and Monday I was mopy? and not real excited about packing. But this morning I woke up ready to pack and get this done and over with! YAY ha
Kels has been a HUGE help in all the packing. We've got it all figured out for the most part. We have all the boxes and small stuff down stairs so that we don't have to go up and down stairs to put them in the truck, we can just open the garage and load, then back the truck up as close to the door as possible and load the big stuff. We have the washer, piano, and the beds and dressers for big suff. We took the table apart so that is now a small thing. I am worried the truck may not be big enough but I'm sure it will be fine.
I am dreading the drive with a 2 yr old. I really really love my son, but he doesn't like being in the car longer than 2 hrs so this is going to be HARD! Our nurse said to make sure we take him out every few hrs to stretch and he will do better, so we are going to do that and I hope it works. We are heading out on Fri night and hope to make it to Kansas City! Thats 5 hrs. Then sleep and head out early and stop again at dark to get some good sleep. We are hoping to be there by Sun afternoon cuz Kels is going to need some really good sleep b4 he goes to work on Monday!!! Then we unload the truck on tues! Its just A LOT in a few days. I think next sat will be spent SLEEPING! lol
